Over $2500 Central Manitoulin community sponsored cash and prizes in two categories for youth 0 to 18 years of age entering in this exciting virtual ice fishing tournament. Organized by the Municipality of Central Manitoulin.

March Break Family Skating and Sponge Puck - Annually during the Rainbow District School Board March Break at the Providence Bay Arena. Weekends sponsored by the Providence Bay/Spring Bay Recreation Committee and weekdays sponsored by the Providence Bay/Spring Bay Lions Club. 

Bradley McAllister Memorial 4 on 4 Hockey Tournament – Last weekend in March at the Providence Bay Arena. Donations to muscular dystrophy.

Central Manitoulin Easter Egg Hunt – Saturday of Easter Weekend at 11 am at the Ball Fields in Mindemoya, ON. Municipal sponsored event with parent volunteers.

Yard Sale in Sandfield – Saturday May 20, 2023 at the Sandfield Hall. Fundraiser for the hall.

Manitoulin Passage Ride June 3rd and 4th, 2023, base operations plus Saturday dinner and dance in Mindemoya, ON.  MICA's 2 day fully-supported cycle event, offering 3 daily routes. 41st Pearson Cup Mixed Softball Tournament – Father’s Day Weekend, June 16 to 18, 2023 in Mindemoya at the ball fields. The tournament hosts two divisions – the Sportsman or the 35ers. 

4th Mindemoya Youth Softball Tournament - June 23rd, 24th and 25th, 2023 in Mindemoya, ON at the ball fields. 36 co-ed teams made up of 400 youth aged 5 to 19 will take part in approximately 75 games in the Island's largest youth sporting event.

46th Annual Homecoming Weekend & Manitoulin Ribfest - Canada Day Weekend June 29th and 30th, July 1st and 2nd, 2023 in Mindemoya, ON. Hosted by the Central Manitoulin Lions Club. Events include a Canada Day Parade, Fireworks, Three Big Ribbers, Food trucks, Live Entertainment, Kids games. For more information visit www.manitoulinribfest.ca.

Sunset Music Series Manitoulin Island 2023 - Friday, July 7th. “Nettish” at the Providence Bay Discovery Centre. Annette  Smith “ Nettish” is a seasoned Acoustic Rock Singer Songwriter and music Educator presenting a variety of fun and familiar songs you’ll be sure to sign along with!

Badminton Warriors of Mnidoo Mnising - Providence Bay Summer Program, Saturday mornings July 15th, 22nd and 29th and August 5th and 12th, 2023 from 10:00 am - 11:30 am at the Providence Bay Arena. Sunset Music Series Manitoulin Island 2023 - Friday, July 21st. Clau Arcand, Elora Miller and Matt Bontje at the Providence Bay Discovery Centre. Clau Arcand is a singer/songwriter who's been on the Island for over 4 years. Drawing inspiration from her connection to land to fuel her lyrical expression, as well as personal experiences. She blends multiple styles from folk to rock with influences of reggae woven within her own acoustic artistry. She'll be playing originals as well as known classics. Matt Bontje loves playing music that draws upon the energy present wherever he may find himself. Bringing voice to emotion, place, and people through improvisation and tuning in & Elora Miller has been living on Manitoulin for just over a year, and is completely in love. The slowness, community, and wildness of the island have captured her heart. She plays folky, singer songwriter stuff and her idols are folks like Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, and Bob Dylan. She has a secret dream of following in their footsteps, being a rambler, and changing the world one song at a time.

Sunset Music Series Manitoulin Island 2023 - Friday, August 4th. Richelle Beatty, Tristen Hall and Sweet Peas (Duo) at the Providence Bay Discovery Centre. Tristen Hall plays a lot of original music and can be described as rock folk blues. Some of his originals have island undertones, and he does covers from Tom Petty, to Tragically Hip, and many others. He lived on the island in the early to mid 90's and moved back in the spring 2020. The Sweet Peas (Duo) are a Manitoulin Island based Gen X couple's musical descent into bitter nostalgia.

Sunset Music Series Manitoulin Island 2023 - Friday, August 11th. Joan Krygsman (Duo) at the Providence Bay Discovery Centre. Joan is the founding member of Trout Lily, a southern Ontario five-piece band playing roots, jazz, swing, traditional, funk + original music. On her own, Joan plays originals and her own quirky take on a wide range of covers. Joan recently bought the tiny house falling off the side of the cliff above Bridal Veil Falls.
 
The Mindemoya Old School is 102 Years Old - Everyone Welcome to the Saturday celebration.August 12th, 11-3pm. Mindemoya Arena and Mindemoya Old School area. BBQ, live entertainment, vendors, activities and more.

Sunset Music Series Manitoulin Island 2023 - Friday, August 18th. Rick  Mauti and Christian Lauder at the Providence Bay Discovery Centre. Rick Mauti a Keyboard Wizard, and Christian Lauder plays originals and a mix of rock and folk. Originally from Orillia Ontario and moved to the island a year and a half ago to start a dog grooming business.
 
 Providence Bay Fair August 18th, 19th and 20th, 2023. The “fair” is one Manitoulin Island’s most popular events. Since 1884, this country fair has attracted thousands of visitors and is hosted by the Providence Bay Agricultural Society. Events include a midway, vendors, entertainment, Ambassador Pageant, Parade, and more. The Exhibition Hall holds exhibits on craftwork, baking, fruits and vegetables, floral arrangements, quilting displays, photography and more. Tour De Force - Heroes in Life Cycling Series to honour fallen police officers in the Northwest and Northeast Regions. Saturday, September 9th, 2023 and Sunday, September 10th, 2023. Lions Golf Tournament 2023 - Saturday, September 16th, 2023 at Brookwood Brae Golf Course. First tee off is at 8:30am. Teams need to registered by August 19th, 2023.
