Central Manitoulin Poppy Project

We Need Your Help

Inspired by Poppy Projects around Canada, the Central Manitoulin Historical Society is organizing an Art Project of Remembrance to honour our veterans. We are collecting crocheted and knitted poppies to display on the exterior of the Welcome Centre/Mindemoya Pioneer Museum.

We thank our Veterans for their service. We honour those who fought for Canada in the First World War, the Second World War, and the Korean War, as well as those who have served since then. They gave their lives and their futures so that we may live in peace.

Get involved and knit or crochet a poppy. Yarn and patterns are available at Mindemoya United Church and Central Manitoulin Public Library. Completed poppies can be dropped off at the Mindemoya United Church, Central Manitoulin Public Library or Williamson's Hardware. Poppies can also be mailed to Central Manitoulin Historical Society, Box 320, Mindemoya ON P0P1S0. To arrange a pick up or for more information, call 705-377-4383.
