Let’s talk smoke detectors.

This is a reminder to test smoke detectors and replace batteries. While you are at it check your carbon monoxide detectors!

Fire spreads fast—smoke alarms give you more time to get outside safely.

Did you know?

Roughly three out of five fire deaths happen in homes with either no smoke alarms or no working smoke alarms.  

Fire Chief Phil Gosse also asks that we check our smoke detectors prior to the planned Manitoulin Island wide power outage on October 22, 2023.
