Nomination Call for Ontario Senior of the Year Award

Do you know of an adult, age 65+, who has made a significant impact on our community? The Municipality of Central Manitoulin is seeking nominations for the 2025 Ontario Senior of the Year award!

The Ontario Senior of the Year Award is an award given by a municipality to recognize an outstanding senior who, after the age of 65, enriches the social, cultural or civic life of the community.

  • Eligibility to receive the award requires the person to be at least 65 years of age, a resident of Ontario, a living person who has made their community a better place to live.
  • Non-eligible nominations include someone who has passed away, or an elected federal, provincial, or municipal representative or political appointees.

The public can submit their nominations to Alison at asloss@centralmanitoulin.ca and include the nominee’s first name, last name, address and phone number along with a brief description of why they feel their nominee should be awarded the Ontario Senior of the Year Award by April 14th, 2025.
