Central Manitoulin Pioneer Museum

2022 Central Manitoulin Welcome Centre and Pioneer Museum in Mindemoya now open 9am-5pm, operating 7 days a week during the summer. Note: Please be advised there will be no tours at the Pioneer Museum Grounds on Monday August 15th and Friday August 19th 2022.

The Central Manitoulin Historical Society welcomes visitors to the 19th century at the Pioneer Museum.  The Pioneer Park is located adjacent to the Central Manitoulin Welcome Centre on Hwy. 551 in Mindemoya.  Pioneer Park Museum preserves artifacts and history of the pioneer life in Central Manitoulin and many of the exhibits feature the history and culture of farming, fishing and lumbering in our area.  The museum is open every day in July and August from 9:00am to 5:00pm or by appointment.

A Little About Central

The Municipality of Central Manitoulin is located in the centre of Manitoulin Island with an abundance of lakes, rivers, and beaches.
