The Municipality of Central Manitoulin has our cooling stations open. With this unseasonably warm weather please come and cool down at 6020 Highway 542 in our foyer 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Please stay hydrated and rest where and when it is needed.

Please be advised the southeast end of the Providence Bay Beach Boardwalk (near Providence Bay Tent and Trailer Park entrance) is closed for part of the day May 26, 2023 while the Maintenance Department conducts some work. Please adhere to posted signage and avoid the area. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Townline Bridge No. 10 is a two-span steel stringer bridge that carries two lanes of traffic over the Manitou River, in Snowville, by the intersection of Townline Road and Side Road 15. The bridge has a length of 9.71 m, consisting of two 4.85 m spans and a width of 6.75 m.

The Municipality of Central Manitoulin has the following position available for the summer of 2023.

As of June 1st, 2023 we will be introducing a bag tag program and bag limits at curbside, as follows.

Residential curbside waste: 2 bag limit (no bag tags required for the first two bags). 40 lbs per bag and size maximum of 30” x 38”.
